The counselling for admission to post-graduate courses for the academic year 2013-14 will get under way at Mangala auditorium on Mangalore University's Mangalagangothri campus on July 15.
While counselling for PG courses offered by the science faculty will be held on July 15, counselling for courses offered by the arts faculty will be held on July 16 and commerce faculty on July 17.
Counselling for the government quota seats for courses offered by the above faculty will be held on July 19. The university has already put up the selection lists of candidates who have applied for admission to various courses on its website www.mangaloreuniversity.ac.in and on the respective notice boards of the PG departments. Candidates whose names figure in the selection list should appear for the counselling against aforesaid dates.
While the centralised counselling will be held from 10am onwards, students in the reserve list will have to appear for counselling at 11am. Counselling for students in the payment category will be held at 3pm on the respective dates. The original marks card, caste certificate and income certificate and other testimonials will be verified at the counselling and prescribed fee will be collected from the students at the auditorium itself.
Students from outside the state should compulsorily submit the migration certificates issued by their respective universities prior to the admission. Vice-chancellor TC Shivashankara Murthy said the admission process of students seeking hostel facility too will be completed on the spot and a separate counter will be set up for the purpose. Students may peruse through the university website or call up the respective post-graduate departments for details.
