 Madurai Kamaraj University has brought out a novel 5-year integrated regular course on Film and Electronic Media studies.

Admissions are now open for the 5year integrated regular course-Master of Film and Electronic Media Studies - MFEM offered by Madurai Kamaraj University.

Indian film industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the country and supports an estimated 1.8 million jobs. Formally trained technicians and artists from the film institutes stand a good chance in the industry.

This year, Madurai Kamaraj University has introduced this specialised course on Film and Electronic Media studies to meet the demand-supply in the industry, as well as to commemorate 100 years of Indian Film industry to be celeberated in 2013. The programme will nurture young minds from various parts of India who are passionate about films and the electronic media.

Students can opt any specialization like Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Script Writing, Acting and Graphics & Animation. This course intends to bring out the creativity and technical excellence through novel teaching methods with more practical inputs and hands on training.

Eligibility to join this course is a pass in Higher Secondary.

The last date for this course is extended up to 30th August 2012.
