IGNOU to launch 'bachelors preparatory programme'

Students who wish to join IGNOU's undergraduate programme but have not passed the plus-two exam can now sit for a preparatory course to be eligible for the bachelor degrees.
 
The varsity has decided to launch 'bachelors preparatory programme' for those students who wish to pursue further studies but are blocked by the barricade of essential basic qualifications, said an IGNOU statement.
 
"This programme is offered to those students who wish to do bachelors degree of IGNOU but do not have required eligibility qualifications", the statement said. 

The structure of the programme comprises three options, out of which student can choose any one.
 
It offers preparatory course in general mathematics, preparatory course in social sciences and preparatory course in commerce.
 
Last date to submit the application form is July 30, 2012.
  
The preparatory programme will be offered in Oriya, Hindi, English, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Telegu, Malayalam and Gujarati languages, the statement added.
