Seats increased to 632 in NIT, Srinagar

The Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Abdul Ghani Malik informed the State Legislative Council that the erstwhile Regional Engineering College, Srinagar has been upgraded to the level of NIT and the number of seats have been increased to 632 from 330 earlier.

The basis of admission to NIT, Srinagar is as per AIEEE merit list, with 50 per cent of the seats reserved for students of the state and the rest for students on All India merit basis, he said.
