Dec. 5 last date for M.phil in medical social service

TN medical education directorate has fixed December 5 as the last date to apply for M.phil degree in medical social service course.

In a statement from the medical education director Sheela, "Stanley medical college has 15 seats in medical social service course. Students having completed MA in social service or MSW, can apply for this course.

In addition, 240 seats are available for diploma in pharmacy at medical colleges of Madurai, Coimbatore and Tanjore. Students having completed their higher secondary education with subjects like physics, chemistry, botony, zoology with or without mathematics could apply to join this course.

Applications for these courses would be available until 3pm, December 2 on www.tnhealth.org, www.tn.gov.in. Filled applications should reach selection committee office before 5pm, December 5.

Along with application, attach DD for Rs.1000 for M.phil course and DD for Rs.200/- for diplamo course, taken from any nationalised banks, in favour of 'The secretary, Selection committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10', payable at Chennai.

Students belonging to SC/ST category, are exempted from fees".
