Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Orissa is conducted every year for the admission of students to BArch, MBBS, BPharm, MCA, BTech, BHMCT and MBA courses. The examination is also organized for the lateral entry of students to the third semester of various degree courses like BPharm, BTech and BHMCT Courses. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Orissa is generally held in May at selected centers for the students seeking admission in the various degree courses.
Educational Qualification: Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE or equivalent, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
Age Limit : There is no age limit to appear for admission into Engineering & Technology courses.
Educational Qualification : Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects : Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
Age Limit : There is no age limit to appear for admission into Pharmacy courses.
Educational Qualification: Pass or appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects Chemistry / Engineering Drawing / Computer Science / Biology. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
All the aforesaid admission to B.Arch. degree course are to be subject to passing NATA conducted by the council of architecture and the minimum passing score for NATA is 80 out of 200 for all categories of candidates. NATA shall be a prerequisite for admission into B.Arch course, but the ranking shall be on the basis of JEE ranking and admission to the course is based on the JEE rank.
Educational Qualification: Pass in 10+2 or appearing examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany and Zoology) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) for general category candidates and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ ST candidates. For candidates seeking admission through JEE to Govt. and Private Colleges the candidate must be a permanent native of Orissa. They are to submit the Permanent nativity Certificate at the time of counselling.
Age Limit : The lower age shall be 17 years as on December 31 in the year of admission. The upper age shall be 25 years as on December 31. The upper age limit may be relaxed by three years for SC/ST candidates.
In case of the admission through the competitive examination, a candidate must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and must have obtained a minimum of 50% mark taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the competitive examination. In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ ST or other back ward class, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination and in the competitive entrance examination be 40% instead of 50% as stated above.
