National Institute of Bank Management conducts a management entrance exam for admission to its two year Post Graduate Program in Banking and Finance (PGPBF). Established by Reserve Bank of India in 1969 as an autonomous institute the NIBM is situated in Pune and is affiliated to Pune University recognized by Department of scientific and industrial research and ministry of science and technology, Government of India. It is one of the MBA Entrance Exams in India.
A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognized institute with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA can appear for this MBA Entrance Test. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply subject to their full filling the eligibility conditions at the time of admission.
Off line procedure to apply for NIBM Entrance Exam
While applying for CAT the applicants are required to Indicate their intention of applying to NIBM (non-IIM Institutes). Besides the candidates should also apply for PGPBF to NIBM separately. The duly filled-in application form should be sent to the Dean after you have received the CAT admit card, so as to reach latest by December 10 of the respective year. A photocopy of the CAT admit card should be attached with the application form. As NIBM uses CAT score for short-listing the candidates thus do mention CAT Registration No. in the application form for PGPBF.
Online Application procedure
NIBM also offers its own Online Application Access System to applicants through its website http://www.nibmindia.org. Candidats can click on the programme and follow the instructions. Complete their online application only when they have received the CAT admit card, print a hard copy of the same, affix your recent photograph and put your signature in the space provided and mail the same to the Dean along with a photocopy of your CAT admit card and a demand draft of Rs. 1250/- drawn in favour of �National Institute of Bank Management�, payable at Pune, so as to reach us not later than December 10 or respective year. The NIBM would not be responsible for any postal delays/losses.
Selection of students for the MBA programmes of the NIBM is based on valid CAT and full-time degree with 60% of marks throughout academics from a recognized University.Candidates shortlisted on these grounds are further scrutinized through Group Discussion & Personal Interview conducted by the NIBM.
