Goa Institute of Management Entrance Exam

Goa Institute of management entrance exam (GIM) provides admission in the MBA program on the basis of performance of the candidate in XLRI Admissions Test (XAT) of the respective year.Candidates short-listed on the basis of XAT score will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Panaji centers for final selection for nearly 120 seats in the institute. It is one the various MBA entrance exams in India.

Candidate aspriring to appear in this Entrance Exam for MBA must secure Minimum 50% aggregate marks in a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / AICTE. Candidates who will complete all requirements for the degree by 15th June of the respective year may also apply subject to their fulfilling the requirements.

Candidates seeking admission to GIM are required to follow the below given procedure

• Applicants to GIM are required to take the XLRI Admissions Test (XAT).
• Apply online on http://www.gim.ac.in Last date for application is 31st December.
• The shortlisted candidates will be called for evaluation process for final selection in February/March at the designate interview centers.
• The final selection will be made in the month of April on the basis of
• XAT scores (50% weightage),
• The candidate's past academic performance (10% weightage),
• Performance in evaluation process (30 % weightage) and
• Work experience (10% weightage), if any.

Important: For further evaluation, the qualifying cut-off XAT score will be lowered by 15 points for candidates of Goan domicile/origin. However documentary evidence of domicile will have to be supplied along with the completed Application Form.

Applicants interested to get admission in the GIM are required to take the XLRI Admissions Test (XAT), which will be held in the month January. For taking the exam candidates are required to register for XAT at www.xlri.edu. Short-listed candidates will be called for further evaluation around the month February.
