Veterinary Council of India is a Statutory body of the Government of India established under the provision of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984.

• Indian Nationals except the State of Jammu & Kashmir
• XII - HSC or ISC (10+2), Senior Secondary Examinations
  - Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective with English (or)
  The Intermediate Science Examinations in Science from a recognized University / Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English
• Minimum Marks in Qualifying Examinations:
  G.C : 50% in aggregate
       (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English)
  SC / ST / SP : 40% in aggregate
       (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English)
• Age : 17 years as 31st of the year.
