Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences will conduct entrance exam on 15 April 2013 for MBBS course (100 seats*) commencing from the next academic year. The test will be held in Nagpur, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Varanasi & Kolkata. The last date for submitting applications form is 29 February 2013.
MGIMS is one of the M.B.B.S Entrance Exams in India. MGIMS stands for Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Science and its entrance exam is abbreviated as such. It is conducted by the institute for providing admission to first year of M.B.B.S. course.
Educational Qualification:
The aspiring candidate must have done passed 12th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent examination of any recognised Board or any Indian University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject, in one and the same attempt. The candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
However, those students who are going to appear in 10+2 higher secondary board examination in March/April of the respective year are also eligible to appear in the competitive entrance examination provisionally.
Age:
The candidate must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
Aspiring candidate can apply by getting the Prospectus and Application Form with syllabus, question papers of Gandhian thought for the last 5 years, with model question papers of Physics Chemistry and Biology from the office of the Dean by remitting a sum of Rs. 1100/- (Rs. 1000 + Rs. 100 as postal charges) only by Money order in favour of the Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, District Wardha � 442102 - OR
By paying Rs. 1000/- in cash at the college counter.
The overall fee for taking MGIMS entrance exam (over and above the price of the Application Form) is Rs. 1500/- till 28 Feb and 1600/-, if the form is submitted till 15th March.
MGIMS entrance exam consists of questions from the relevant subject i.e. physics, chemistry and biology of +2 levels.
MGIMS entrance examination will consists of paper of Physics, Chemistry and Biology having multiple choice questions, along with a paper on Gandhian thought with long and short answer type.
MGIMS entrance test is usually conducted in the Third week of April of every year.
