Graduate Aptitude Test in engineering is basically known as GATE is the Engineering Entrance Examinations which is conducted by GATE committee, Indian institute of science Bangalore and seven IITs. The main purpose of conducting Graduate Aptitude test is to find out the best candidates and provide admission into post graduate courses in Technology, Engineering , Sciences, Architecture and Pharmacy.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is managed, administered and conducted in Eight Zones. They conduct the GATE through the GATE Committee on behalf of the National Coordinating board- GATE, Ministry of Human Resource development (MHRD), Department of Education and Government of India. The eight institutes conducting the GATE throughout the country are as follows:
The duration of GATE is 3 hours with only multiple choice questions which will be followed by an interview. The No. of question will be 65 carrying maximum marks of 100. There is a system of negative marking. From the below list anyone of the paper can be selected by the candidate appearing for GATE.
Only the candidates who qualify GATE are eligible for admission to post graduate courses with ministry of resources development and receiving other government scholarship. The courses are as follows

Minimum eligibility for the candidate appearing for Graduate Aptitude Test GATE is Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Master’s degree in sciences. Candidate who are in final and pre final year can also apply.
