Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education

The establishment of Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education took place in the year 1910. The board was under the government of Tamil Nadu, department of education. There were some specific streams to offer for all those students appearing for their class 10 examinations. The secondary school leaving certificate will be provided to each Indian students who have passed out class 10 under Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education. Apart from this, the board also issues other certificates such as Oriental school leaving certificate (OSLC) and Anglo Indian stream.

The evaluation process is done by Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education by conducting two board examinations. One is conducted at end of class X and the other is the final examination of class XII. The students who have passed from Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education can apply for higher studies in universities with the score that have got as a result of class 12 examination. This is also a way of evaluation a student for higher studies. The percentage adopted by the students in class 12 is really important for getting admission in the university.

The main objective of the board is to collect data related to students who have appeared in examination. The Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education also provides authorization to the centers to conduct examination. A proper supply of question papers in each center is also their task.
